The Bailey Hounds have a sound that’s influenced by the historic appeal of Americana, one that takes the storytelling element of traditional folk music and injects it with the rural twang of guitar with Ryan Petrillo’s raspy, hankering vocals. However, lying underneath the threshold of up-tempo country blues, there exists the band’s surprising passion for badass heavy metal, which often transports you into their murderous tales or an abandoned barn where the music hauntingly swirls around like the ghosts of a simpler time. So yeah, The Bailey Hounds are definitely not your average folk band. But isn’t that part of what makes Philly’s music scene so awsesome?
