Tender Vision and The Fantastic Imagination hit The Pharmacy April 12th

Tonight get ready for a long night of live music at The Pharmacy, Philly’s freshest coffee shop west of the Broad Street line. Headlining the night is Tender Vision, the indie poppers with a flair for the vaguely sad. Kings of the DIY circuit with a new album on the way, ex-Catnaps frontwoman Adrianne Gold and bassist William Sallee miss the Pixies just as much as the next guy, but you didn’t write a song about it. Starting the evening off is the six-member folk band, The Fantastic Imagination. Self-described as “psychedelic fantasy,” the band hones in on precise acoustic riffs and piles on edgy distortion and vocal harmonies for a romantic and almost medieval effect. Next up is the shoegazey husband and wife duo Overly Polite Tornadoes from Kalamazoo, and another husband and wife project from New York, Trifles. The Pharmacy, 1300/02 S. 18th St.,8pm, $5-7 –Maggie Grabmeier
