Swearin’ Opening for Tenement & Diarrhea Planet at Glitoria April 13

Nostalgia tempered with fun awaits tonight at Glitoria, where Swearin’, originally from Brooklyn, hold forth with a brand of blissful punk overlaid with 90s indie that feels right at home coming from West Philly. Bear in mind, too, that they come from the vaunted P.S. Eliot, where vocalist Allison Crutchfield partnered with her twin sister to create a beloved feminist pop-punk outfit; now, it’s Allison and the very Doug Martsch-sounding Kyle Gilbride manning the helm of Swearin’, for many of the same joys they’ve offered in previous projects. They’ll be the fulcrum of tonight’s bill with badass local hardcore outfit Attitude Era (watch out for these guys), Tenement, Diarrhea Planet, and Ovlov.
