Speed Over the Edge w/Spill at Michael Jordan July 21

Marrying former members of Placeholder and We Were Skeletons, Spill is a quartet that immediately draws your attention. With a pair of songs that you’ll gravitate toward as reflective assertive lyrics meet charged fuzzy punk grit. With the group’s debut self-titled EP on the way via Broken World Media next month, which you can now stream over at Brooklyn Vegan, the quartet transfers contemplative moments into rushes of tight indie rock that simmers instrumentally before speeding over the edge. Tonight, Spill will joined by fledging punk outfit Stippling (ex-Leaky Soups), while Virginia trio Cape Farewell helps fortify the emotive atmosphere this evening at Michael Jordan House, laying a subdued base as those feelings gradually reach the surface in raw vocal bursts.
