Slutever are back from doing America, and they’ll be headlining at Johnny Brenda’s tonight. While some may have been following their adventures in 140 characters or less, you should really come hear for yourself what performing almost every night can do for their chops. Hopefully they’ll have a chance to rest up before belting out favorites like “So Prone” and “No Offense,” but I’m sure that once they see some friendly familiar faces in the crowd, it will give them that much-needed boost of energy. They’ll be joined by Bedroom Problems, the fleshed out basement (bedroom) project of WPRB DJ/Her Jazz blogger Maria Tessa Sciarrino which includes backing by members from A Sunny Day in Glasgow, This Radiant Boy, and April Disaster. She’ll have the opportunity to test out her pipes from her recent voice lessons with Michael Kiley (The Mural and The Mint, Cordalene). The Sniffles (Trey McCoy of TV Dinner, Scotty Leitch of Pirouette, and Mike V of Seminal Youth Madness) will also be opening the evening with their high-energy somewhat apathetic grunge-y indie rock. Johnny Brenda’s, 1201 N. Frankford Ave., 9pm, $10, 21+ – Alexis V.
