Quite a bit is happening for SHEL these days. The four Holbrook sisters who make up the group — Sarah, Hannah, Eva, and Liza — have a show on November 16th at The Back Corner benefiting the Music Health Alliance. Their harmonies and catchy indie pop tunes, which they’ve honed since their official formation in 2010, align them with HAIM, although SHEL’s music takes a bit more of an experimental and often more atmospheric turn. Along with their extensive touring and playing for benefit shows, the Holbrooks have also teamed up with composer Kevin Dailey to score the Facebook Watch series Queen America, which follows the trials of Catherine Zeta-Jones as Vicki Ellis, an Oklahoma pageant coach. The series begins on November 18; SHEL will host an online Facebook Live watch party before the premiere.
