Below is a brand spanking new edition of Weathervane and WXPN’s “Shaking Through” featuring Hezekiah Jones a.k.a. Raph Cutrufello. This session was curated by Bruce Warren, Assistant Station Manager for Programming at WXPN in Philadelphia and Executive Producer of the nationally syndicated radio program World Café as well as the man behind Some Velvet Blog. Cutrufello’s song, “Borrowed Heart”, was written to sync with the scene from the 1935 classic film, Bride of Frankenstein, where “they are kind of building the bride and the monster is becoming impatient.” The band lineup generally consists of Cutrufello, bassist Phil D’Agostino, singer and violinist Kiley Ryan, and Brad Hinton on banjo and steel. For this session, Cutrufello brought in some talented friends from the local music community that included Andrew Lipke, the Sadler girls from Sisters3, Tom Bendel of Buried Beds, and Alison Wadsworth (formerly of Unlikely Cowboy).
