Hot on the heels of a series of West Coast dates supporting the Buzzcocks and with The Deli Philly’s May Record of the Month, Love Songs, still fresh in our minds, Residuels hits the stage this evening at Boot & Saddle to celebrate the release of their new 7" "Ordinary" via Born Losers Records, the trio provides an unwavering, primal, garage-rock rumble that’s unfiltered, hitting unapologetically, grabbing the wheel, and daring you to hold on. However, not one but two 7” will be commemorated on this night. With vinyl copies of “Out in the Streets”/“Miles Around” (issued via Hidden Volume Records) in hand, the all-female quartet of Louie Louie dose out garage rock with a psych-pop twist. Rolling forward in a determined drive, while also exhibiting a smooth soothing side, the band demonstrates compelling control. The heady cruising psych-rock of Weekender completes this billing.
