In a warehouse in Sunset Park on July 28th, 2025, beloved bar Singers put on their annual Twinks vs. Dolls IV: Total Carnage.
Among the performances was NYC based punk band Girl Dick, fronted by casting director, artist, and model Blair Broll (who also dabbles in screaming “WATCH OUT AS I LOCK AND LOAD… ARM THE DOLLS, ARM THE DOLLS, ARM THE DOLLS!” from a boxing ring to 5,000 New Yorkers celebrating pride).
Recently, Girl Dick released their first single since 2022’s self-titled track “Girl Dick”. “Arm The Dolls” is a heavy, proper punk-rock track in the form of a (literal) call to arms. Blair tells The Deli Mag, “I have always been an advocate for trans women to be armed or learn some form of self defense. And I have wanted to do a song that had something to do with trans women and guns for a long time…I started singing [the lyrics] to my drummer Phil [Brand], and told him I wanted to create something hard and invigorating. He was able to instantly smash something super hard out...”

“...Those drums really brought the vision to life, and we built the song from there. We knew we wanted the song to come out by pride, and to hopefully be ready to play Twinks vs Dolls. We rushed to rehearse, get the song recorded, and sent out to the universe in time.”
And we’re so glad they did…now we want a music video!

“Pride should be a protest, and I wanted to remind people that in the face of fascism we have to kick it in the face with a steel toe boot. One of my favorite shows of all time.” – Blair Broll
“Twinks vs Dolls was bigger and better than ever with a crowd of 5000 people this year. It has come a long way from the Singer’s backyard 3+ years ago,” Blair continues. “When I play a show, my goal is to get people moving and having fun. They had tried to barricade 10 feet out from the stage, so I immediately shut that down and screamed at the crowd to come in. The crowd was on fire and made the show spectacular, as they received and spit back our energy. Pride should be a protest, and I wanted to remind people that in the face of fascism we have to kick it in the face with a steel toe boot. One of my favorite shows of all time.”
Suffice to say, it was a mission accomplished for Girl Dick.
Other performers at the event included Dangerous Rose, Josephine Network, Lex Walton, Contessa Stuto, CXNTXCXSTLE, and Magda, followed by a “wrestling extravaganza.”
