It’s the Wednesday before Thanksgiving, and historically it’s one of the best evenings to meet up with old/new friends and family for a night out on the town and many drinks. And of course, there is plenty to do this evening. For a big spacious place to hang with some fine local acts, you really can’t beat the lineup this evening at University City’s The Blockley who will be hosting Nicos Gun, Grandchildren, Prowler, DRGN King, and Ed Blammo. Now, if crowds aren’t your thing and you prefer to be somewhere more underground, then swing by Cha-Cha Razzi (if you can find it) because anti-folk hero/Rough Trade artist Jeffrey Lewis will be in town with a full band, and he’ll be supported by more great locals Ghost Light, Sunny Ali (solo acoustic set), and On the Water. There will be a dance party going on at Little Bar with Pink Skull and Sweatheart. And if you really don’t want to pay anything for entertainment and would like to get plenty drunk, then you can’t go wrong at Fergie’s with TJ Kong & the Atomic Bomb and Toy Soldiers’ Ron Gallo. There is also a lot more going on all around the city. Philly’s poppin’ tonight so we hope to see you out and about having a good time. Cheers!
