A litany of emotions are vented through an unrelenting display of aggression as the duo of Joey Doubek & Ahley Arnwine team up as Pinkwash. Tonight at LAVA Space, the tandem celebrates the release of their new 7" "Cancer Money"/"Skin" via DC punk outfit Priests’ label Sister Polygon. The album is an adrenaline-loaded series of songs that amps listeners up with its raw forceful nature. Doubek’s vocal styling is a primal war cry that feeds into the musical bombardment of heavy, heart-racing, full-speed distorted guitar and the nonstop stampede of Arwine’s percussion, culminating into a forgiving hurricane of noisy punk prepared to engulf anything that stands in its path. Joining the celebration is Flyherder, providing soothing electro-synth pop with an ever-present percussive pulse. The lineup also includes the intense space-cruising buzz of experimental Montreal noise-rock trio Mands and Brooklyn native/Jacksonville resident drag queen rapper, Twinki.
