Photo Recap: Mausoleum Party at PhilaMOCA

Things certainly got downright weird at the free Mausoleum Party this Friday at PhilaMOCA. Now, was it a good weird or bad weird? That really depends on whom you talked to at the event. The pre-show festivities consisted of the neighborhood boy Sean, who normally harasses us outside, harassing chosen attendees inside on stage with “yo mama so fat/ugly/etc.” jokes. There were questions answered from and about space by PhilaMOCA’s Chip Schwartz, an interview with the legendary Bigfoot (BTW: He /she/it looks a lot bigger on television.) and performances by Velvet Crayon (who smoothly rocked!), Charmaine’s Names (who brought the charisma and the balloons), and Ms. Teena Geist (who strutted on that fine line between art and someone needing the mic ripped from his/her hands). You can check out our photos from the evening HERE. (Photo by Brandi Lukas)
