One Year Anniversary! at Lavender Town Sept. 5

Establishing and maintaining a space where like-minded people can express, perform, and absorb creativity is a complex/ tricky endeavor. DIY spaces are a vital component to a city’s underground and independent music scene. However, these spaces are often short-lived. Tonight the 1-year anniversary of Lavender Town is commemorated with a lineup befitting of celebration including the jarring emotional alt-rock exploits of Mumblr and melodic indie rockers The Mellowells. Abi Reimold with a full band delivers her accustomed clash of musical weather currents, resulting in a beautiful yet turbulent storm. The outlaw hip hop of Cornelius The Third, the funky surf-rock concoction of New Brunswick’s Professor Caveman, the tempered charge of New York punks InCircles, and acoustic folk rocker Curtis Cooper help to ring in the beginning of year 2.
