Emma Hoeflinger of Oginalii has an affinity for Annie Clark; she aspires to be like the mind behind St. Vincent with her fearless guitar riffs and forward-thinking lyrics. She’ll take the stage at The 5 Spot on December 5th in order to showcase her and her band’s talents on the heels of their debut full-length album Cause and Affection, which drops in April 2019. The band have released three singles in the past few months: "Further In/Out", a feminist banger about rattling society’s cages; "No Littering", about freedom of choice; and "Forgotten Kindness", a call to empathy. Oginalii has progressed since 2013 from an acoustic act to a full band electric onslaught of musical might; you can catch them at The 5 Spot on 12/05 to see them in action.
