Dogs on Acid just shared their cover of The Who’s "Substitute," over at Brooklyn Vegan. The recording is for a compilation entitled Teenagers In Love that will be available digitally on April 14 via Known Pleasure Records. The song was originally released as a single in 1966, and it later also found its way on a compilation album, Meaty Beaty Big and Bouncy, before being re-issued once again in 1976. Dogs On Acid will be releasing their debut LP this summer via Jade Tree Records, and they’re next show in Philly is currently schedule for Monday, April 27 at Johnny Brenda’s, but we wouldn’t be surprised if they popped up on another local bill before then.
