It’s been a moment since we’ve gotten any new music from beloved noise-punks Pissed Jeans, since 2013’s Honeys, in fact. Well, we are happy to learn that they just announced plans for the release of a new album, titled Why Love Now, to come out in the new year. The LP was co-produced by no-wave legend Lydia Lunch and Philly metalhead Arthur Rizk, and is scheduled for release on February 27, 2017 via Sub Pop. The band also shared the record’s lead single "The Bar Is Low," which is about "how every guy seems to be revealing themselves as a shithead. It seems like every guy is getting outed, across every board of entertainment and politics and music." Unfortunately, it’s bitterly appropriate for these trying times.
