A mysterious, medieval lure of synths and soft secretive vocals permeates in “Ten of Swords,” the latest peak into Dark Harvest, the forthcoming album from Tim Meskers’s Garden Gate. The former Brown Recluse frontman sifts through the Tarot-card-inspired, psych-pop tune, which hints at the duality of reaching the ultimate low before springing up for a fresh start, hinted in the song’s eerie yet warm tones. Dark Harvest will be released on August 5 via Sunstone Records (vinyl) and Golden Brown (cassette/digital).
