Nashville’s Julian Dente has endured the difficulties of the ever-changing music industry to finally release his years-in-the-making project Blame under the moniker YØUTH. Ascribing to the post-pop-punk aesthetic of groups like Brand New, YØUTH reminds listeners of the mid-2000s after it grew up, matured, and mellowed out a little. Dente plays almost all instruments on the album, an ambitious (and successful) feat for a debut. – Chris Thiessen
