It’s been awhile since Mose Giganticus has graced a Philly stage. The last time we saw the screaming keytar god – he had blown out his own sound system in front of Dock Street Brewing Co. for Chernobyl Collective’s BAM-POW-zine launch. But after pulling another rigorous leg of touring that saw his recycled waste vegetable oil fueled bus reach the 100,000th mile mark, Matt Garfield is fully prepared to bring an electronic arsenal to his Kung Fu Necktie debut tonight. Armed with one of his 3 trusty keytars, he will be preaching the gospel of metal from his latest album, Gift Horse, which was released by Relapse Records. And he might time travel to the past by playing songs from his technological opus, The Invisible Hand, and his homage to Nikola Tesla, Commander. And when drummer Dan Eppihimer isn’t bashing the skins for Mose, he’ll be pounding them for his ambient doom sludge outfit Grass, who will be opening the evening. Kung Fu Necktie, 1250 N. Front St., 7pm, $7, 21+ – Bill McThrill
