The skillset and indie street cred of a team like Mary Lattimore and Jeff Zeigler scores pretty high if one were to keep it. Together, they instinctively play off each other’s plucks and drones weaving them into otherworldly soundscapes while rendering audiences silent and captivated, already strapped in to accompany them on their journey. For fans of avant-garde ambient drone, the wait for their debut release will probably be too long. However, until then, I am sure that you’ll find them as the go-to support act on interesting bills such as the one tonight at PhilaMOCA opening psych-folk vet Ed Askew’s record release show. After all, no show is ever really the same with the improvising duo. Also on the lineup will be one half of The Baird Sisters, Laura Baird. PhilaMOCA, 531 N. 12th St., 8pm, $7 – $10 Donation, All Ages – Alexis V.
