Since their earliest inception, Kate Foust and the other members of Lady have time-warped us back to the good ole days with their vibrant mix of soulful blues and jazz. Each member of the quintet is classically trained, and they have previously collaborated with the likes of Toy Soldiers, Virtual Virgin, The Divine Lorraine, and many others. After an impressive debut EP the band set out to record its first full-length You & Me under Ropeadope with the help of Studio 4’s Phil Nicolo, and they’ll be celebrating its release at PhilaMOCA tonight by performing the whole album in its entirety and unveiling a few new songs. Lady will be joined by good pals Toy Soldiers who just hit Bloktoberfest and CMJ, and are getting ready to throwdown at The Note next week for the Halloween Hoedown with Hoots & Hellmouth.
