Julie Slick shreds on her bass for a multitude of interesting projects (Dragon King, Springs, Paper Cat, Bahner/Slick, Adrian Belew Power Trio) around town and nationally/internationally. You can only imagine the deep grooves that she’s laid down over the years growing up and jamming alongside her brother Eric Slick, which is most likely why they’ve provided a sturdy backbone of a rhythm section for some equally talented folks. Tonight you can find Julie taking the lead on stage with her very own prog rock experiment at The Fire. She’ll be joined by the Beatles-inspired indie pop outfit The Day Life, who finely captured the spirit and sounds of the Fab Four with the help of Grammy Award winner Scot Sax on their latest EP Pick Me Up.
