Indie pop-punks I Love Monsters regroup after four years + play Mercury on 08.18

New York City’s pop-punk indie fusion outfit I Love Monsters can be described as a blend of Blink-182-esque pop-punk and indie rock. Under their catchy, youthful sounding vocals, there’s a certain instrumental mastery evident in their rather complex compositions. The four-piece’s latest release is 2011’s ‘Two Words‘ which was produced by Andrew Maury (RAC, Ra Ra Riot) and recorded at Zavaro Studios. While they’re still making a name for themselves at home, their songs have been featured on major HBO and MTV shows like Entourage and Teen Mom. Listen to the wailing guitar riffs and upbeat tempo of the new EP’s intro track "Car Crash" below, and – if so inclined – see them live at Mercury on August 18, it’s their first in four years! – Michael Haskoor (@Tweetskoor)
