Come start your Halloween celebration early today at Howardween, a block party that is taking over 1400 Howard St. Beginning at 1:30pm the party will include a costume contest, pumpkin painting, a bake sale, food available via the Vernalicious food truck (yum!) and of course, music. The tunes will start an hour into the proceedings, and includes performances by the neo-psychedelic pop of The Really Cooks, the upbeat monster-pop of Conversations with Enemies, the stoner metal of Ape!, and much more (you can check out the full list HERE). All donations will go toward the Michael J. Foundation for Parkinson’s research – a day of music for an important cause. Howardween, 1400 Howard St., 1:30pm – 8:30pm, Free, All Ages – Michael Colavita
