Hot Guts Spilling Out at KFN March 10

Hot Guts are purveyors of all things dark and cavernous. Their subdued tribal rhythms, fuzzy guitar, and spooky baritone vocals are reminiscent of classic Goth rock outfits like Bauhaus. Perfect for those late night strolls in the seedy parts of town where the lamps flicker. “Da’rat Hessla” is a kind of detached noise-punk track with a sinister riff that seems on the verge of collapsing and trailing off to its own devices. The buzzing atmospherics and compelling chant of “Did You Not Go to the Dance Alone?” soon give way to a fittingly warped crescendo. Other joyously decadent acts to watch out for tonight include New York electro-rockers Pop. 1280 (whom Hot Guts recorded a split with), and up-and-coming pagan folkies Cult of Youth will be headlining.
