Holly Golightly & Tristen @ The End, 5/28/11

British singer/songwriter, Holly Golightly, is finallyyyyy returning to Nashville to play us some of her garage rock/70’s RnB. Strange combination, right? Right. Her music is difficult to categorize into just a few genres because she is such a prolific musician, with over 15 albums released on various record labels since 1999 when she left garage rock backing trio, Thee Headcoatees for Billy Childish’s The Headcoats. She has collaborated with The White Stripes and The Greenhornes, (and she just so happens to be the lead singer on their song, "There Is An End," for those of you who ever saw the Bill Murray movie, "Broken Flowers," and wondered who that mysterious lady voice belongs to. Finally, you can get some sleep at night)!

And here’s the icing on the cake: Tristen is opening! We’ve talked about Tristen approximately 2,000 times before, so if you still haven’t heard her play in Nashville or seen her music video on Rolling Stone, or watched her Daytrotter session, then this show is a perfect opportunity for you to crawl out from under your rock. The show will be taking place on Saturday, May 28th at The End, and tickets are $10.
