With themed nights, audience wardrobe suggestions and hoards of special guests, He’s My Brother She’s My Sister has turned its month-long residency at the Satellite into quite a spectacle. Though the residency will end with a show presented by The Deli on Monday, the band is showing no signs of loss in energy or creative ideas. Reflecting on the band’s energetic mix folk and psychedelic music, each week has presented a different theme based around the new single "Escape Tonight." The theme for last week’s sell-out show was "Escape Judgement" and featured appearances by Jenny O and performance artists Anna Oxygen & Cloud Eye Control. For the final show the theme will be "Escape to the Abyss" and the band suggests that attire be psychedelic and experimental. Guest performers will include Shakey Graves and DJ sets by Luke Top of Fool’s Gold and Mora Elian. Also scheduled to perform are Jared Mees & The Grown Children, Amanda Jo Williams, Featherbeard and Black Hole Oscillators. As if the free performances were not enough, He’s My Brother She’s My Sister will give away an an exclusive art-adorned souvenir USB card containing music and videos to the first 100 people who visit the merch table.
