There’s internal strength that radiates from Hello Shark’s ability to create songs that provide a truly personal point of view. That ability to expose vulnerability and spin it out of the dark corners of one’s mind into a better, brighter space in those odd yet beautiful lyrical images is a rare gift. Tonight, at Everybody Hits, Hello Shark will be joined in by Peter Gill’s alt-country-folk sound known as Friendship, coating engaging narratives in sparse instrumentation. Abi Reimold’s haunting folk that takes on elements of an imposing storm is also set to perform, potentially showcasing new material, while psych-pop trio Seismic Thrust completes the evening of local talent.
