Since it is about to start raining for what seems like forever, you should get out to Triumph Brewery tonight to see Grimace Federation while you still don’t have a lame excuse like, “it’s raining.” Personally, I would take just about anything to get me away from this Italian Market Festival down in South Philly. Grimace Federation have been taking their forward moving spacey post-rock on the road recently, but tonight they are playing a sweet local gig with their new bassist Jim Calverese. Their hard-driving psychedelic infused epics are great to get the body moving or just the head nodding, but regardless they are definitely given new life in a live setting, especially the massive vibraphones, so go get your drink on and enjoy the ride.
