While Jess Sparhawk and Eric Carbonara have their own successful solo careers, they are even more bewitching when they come together. As a duo, Sparhawk’s 36-string lever harp and Carbonara’s 22-string upright Chaturangui guitar sound even more spectral, so it’s serendipitous they would play West Philly’s Studio 34 tonight. The neighborhood Yoga, wellness and arts studio provides the perfect open space for their calming whirlwind of meditating long-form pieces, which are only heightened by bill mate Brandon Morsberger‘s dissonant rural folk–an underivative blend of porch blues and roadhouse country. Add the empirical rhythms of Maine’s Arborea, and this Folkadelphia-presented show will massage you into a deep, beautiful, magical sleep. 4522 Baltimore Avenue, 8pm, $10, All Ages -Annamarya Scaccia
