Frank Smith Release of Track “A Decline” + Upcoming Tour

In lieu of the upcoming release of their 3rd full-length album Before You Were Born, indie rock band Frank Smith is debuting several tracks off their LP before it drops early next year. The album will not see an official 12” vinyl format release until early 2012. As part of a track series, however, “A Decline” is the second of three songs that has been released as promotional feed for their album. Showcasing reverb-laden riffs with crooning vocals and a slight flare of twang, “A Decline” is simply a taste, and a good one at that, of what Before You Were Born will offer. Choosing to stick with previous producer/engineer Alex Lyon, the band returned to local Austin studio The Bubble to record Before You Were Born on live tape. With this fresher approach, Before You Were Born is seen by the band as a new birth and direction, sure to receive warm accolade from press and fans alike. In addition to the soon-to-be-released album is Frank Smith’s ongoing tour, which will continue during Austin’s infamous Free Week with a show at The Mohawk on January 3rd. The Mohawk will host Before You Were Born’s release party as well, which will take part on January 19th.
