Somewhere between a disintegration of ambiance and driven post-rock, Fredericksburg, Virginia’s Smallhands produce music that is as sonically dynamic as it is immersive. The group consists of Winston Givler, Kyle Guerra, and Austin O’Rourke, whose collective effort will be making its way to cassette via Tape Modulator as their debut album, How To Say Goodbye. The record is a ground-up, DIY effort, with the songs mixed and mastered by O’Rourke – and it is worth noting that he was the recipient of the 2015 Gold ASCAP Morton Young Composer Award.
