In a composed mad-dash of melody, Today’s Mistakes, the new EP from Brave Face, is a mistake worth making. Including members of No Thank You, The Superweaks, In the Pines, and Narra, the band dishes out musically momentous and emotively open narratives, covering large instrumental expanses in the process. Splicing lyrical sincerity with an outpouring of energetic exuberance, the songs hit with immediacy, and then are gone in a flash.
