DC Deli’s Best of 2011- Nominees from SonicBids submissions

Thanks to all the bands that submitted through our SonicBids Open Submission, and congrats to the following bands that made it through to the final round of voting (which you can check out now in the right column!)

The Great Unknowns (pic above) are an alt-country band situated out of DC who describe their sound as "rock music for the open road." The title track (below) off their most recent release Homefront, (out January 2012,) was named one of the winners in the Washington Area Music Association’s (WAMA) 3rd annual P.A.S.S. awards. And the track "I Wish I Was the Girl I Was" just won the grand prize in the Mid-Atlantic Song Contest!

And The Will To Survive, our most recent Band of the Month winners (interview still to come!) also made it through to the readers poll via Sonicbids. These indie rockers, based out of Harrisonburg Virginia, said it best: "Think back to a time when you were truly happy, The Will To Survive was there." Check out tracks from The Teeth Chattering Demos on their FB page now!
