With some heavy hitters in Toronto’s indie outfit The Rural Alberta Advantage performing downstairs at First Unitarian Church and Baltimore’s Zomes (solo project of former Lungfish guitarist Asa Osborne) playing in its Side Chapel, tonight will be business as usual for R5 Productions. Right in their element opening for Rural Alberta Advantage, Conversations With Enemies is a band that’s energetic as they are eclectic, whether their dressed as Rocky Horror and doing the Time Warp, channeling gypsy love tunes involving grave robbery and zombies, or releasing an album with its own graphic novel. Opening for Zomes will be Blood Like Mine, a slightly mysterious collaboration between singer Rosali Middleman and guitarist Geoff Bucknam from Free Energy and Niagara Falls. You may spread yourself thin going from stage to stage, but it might be totally worth it. First Unitarian Church, 2125 Chestnut St, 8pm, $10/$12, All Ages – Bill McThrill
