Oakland based garage rock band, Shannon and the Clams were the stars of a mini documentary entitled, AMERICAN MUSIC Ep 6: Shannon and the Clams. The video is available on youtube and highlights the band’s philosophy and experience of being such an iconic musical outfit.

This documentary is also a foreshadow of an upcoming three month tour that Shannon and the Clams will be embarking on this year. Check back for more info and dates of the tour!

The sensual and elegant indie rock band, There’s Talk, which started off as a solo project by singer/songwriter Olivia Lee, has released a new single entitled, The Salt. The intense neo psych rock band, Electric Shepherd will be performing live next week at Thee Parkside in San Francisco, CA on June 1st. This eclectic rock and roll outfit’s music is a culmination of 60’s revival psych rock with contemporary touches. Electric Shepherd will be sharing the bill with other talented psych rock bands, Mark Matos and Os Beaches, Buzzmutt and Linear Fall from Nashville. Make sure you catch this show!

Multi instrumental, indie rock musician, Split Screens is embarking on a short Northwestern tour with Fox and Woman. This talented solo musician whose given name is Jesse Cafiero, creates soundscapes that are mellow and entrancingly beautiful. Cafiero has knack for composing tracks that are tastefully abstract and psychedelic, but still maintain an accessible folk foundation that makes his music hard to deny.

San Francisco based neo soul R&B musician, 8th Grader has released a new self titled EP. This creative and mellow down tempo R&B EP has a smooth and enticing style that brings new flavor to the Bay Area music scene. Former winner of The Deli Magazine San Francisco’s Artist of the Month poll, Morgan Manifacier is celebrating the pre release of his new album Hues and Calm. San Francisco based alt indie rock band, The Orange Peels are playing two shows on Saturday night at Cafe Du Nord in San Francisco, CA. The band’s late show (10 pm) is SOLD OUT, but never fear, you can catch them playing an early set at 7 pm. This bands laid back and well composed stye of rock is appealing and a joy to listen to. Oakland based electronic synth pop musician, Futurebrite is gearing up to release a new album entitled Futurebrite Part 1, scheduled to be the first one of a trilogy of records forged by Oakland multi-instrumentalist Karen Kanan Correa and Brooklyn Based electronics guru Josh Grant. San Francisco based electro pop femme fatal musician, Violent Vickie has released a new single.
