San Francisco based art nouveau musician, Kristina Esfandiari, best known for her work with the music project Miserable, has put together a new band called, King Woman. The band recently released a single entitled, Dove/Fond Affections and is now preparing to release a 12 inch EP with Flesner Records.

If you don’t know anything about King Woman, check her music out. The band creates an emotive washed out wall of sound that is experimental and leaning towards ambient art rock. Oakland based noise punk band, MUSK has released a new music video for their cover of The Chrome Cranks song, Drag House. The music video is as visually loud and jarring as the song, cutting from one clip of uber masculine archetypes to another, ie: explosions, monsters and fast cars. No complaints here. San Francisco based psych blues band, Sleepy Sun is playing an all ages show at Brick and Mortar Music Hall on Wednesday, December 17th. Sleepy Sun is a passion drenched veteran psych band whose music is moving and addictive. Bay Area staple, DJ Al Lover will be performing his music as well. His mixes fill a room like a psych experimental mist that washes over your ear drums and senses. SF based hard rock band, Banquet will be opening the show, making this line up a collection of heavy vibed musicians. Therefore, we think you should indulge in this upcoming show and let the experience speak for itself.

San Francisco based synth thrash band, Le fomo is teaming up with Slow Clap Productions to host a collaborative music video sneak peak at El Rio this weekend, December 12th. They’ll be premiering the avant sci fi music video for the band’s single, Saganometrics.

We always say that we love unique and creative events, so this is an opportunity to grab a sneak peak at a really interesting visual arts collaboration. Get out and do something different this weekend. Celebrate with Slow Clap and Le fomo! The official release of the video will be on December 15th.

The San Francisco based Tricycle Records band, The Union Trade is gearing up to release a new album entitled, A Place for Long Years. They current single Murmurations is an ambiant/trance indie love ballad that is ethereal and a bit mesmerizing. The full album is due for release on February 3rd. Their live album release show will occur the following day, February 4th at Rickshaw Stop on February 4th with Sunrunners.

San Francisco/ Baltimore based garage pop rock band, Icky Boyfriends will be opening for the iconic San Francisco (now Los Angeles implants) band, Thee Oh Sees. Icky Boyfriends are an interesting band to open for Thee Oh Sees because their music is sludgy, primitive and wild. You’ll have a good time tonight and tomorrow night at The Chapel. That’s right, you’ll have two opportunities to see this interesting line up. Buy your tickets as soon as you can for this show is liable to sell out an hour or two before it starts!

With a nice mix of local and out of town bands, we’re excited to highlight Slim’s upcoming December 4th show featuring San Francisco based bands, Joshua Cook & the Key of Now and Travis Hayes and the Young Daze who will be sharing a bill with Los Angeles basedBranches and Portland based band, The Lower 48.

This line up is eclectic with styles ranging from powerpop soul to indie rock to alternative folk. The night will be packed to the brim with talent. You won’t regret making your way out to Slim’s tomorrow night!

Congratulations to Feather-Bright for winning the Deli Magazine San Francisco Artist of the Month Poll! This talented "moon rock" band creates beautiful and bellowing rock ballads are near impossible to ignore. Their fans and the Deli SF readers have spoken and Feather-Bright completely came out on top. We wish them the very best in their future musical endeavors!

Oakland based classical folk hip hop group, Ensemble Mik Nawooj has released an innovative cover of Wu-Tang Clan’s classic hip hop track, C.R.E.A.M. Although they recycle the wildly famous hook, the group’s lyrics have been revamped for originality. Oakland hip hop has always been on the cutting edge and this ensemble is no exception. Enjoy this crisp black and white music video that features people of all ages, races and creeds. We really dig this diverse video and the song is highly motivating and drenched with talent.

Oakland based alt country band, T Sisters will be performing live at Leo’s Nightclub in Oakland on December 12th with Portland based band Shook Twins. If you’re in the East Bay and you’re into listening to some great Americana music, you should do your best to make it out. Mix up your music taste and your favorite music venue selection this holiday season!

The 2013 Deli Magazine San Francisco Artist of the Year, Down Dirty Shake are finally releasing their debut self titled album! They’re celebrating the release with the San Francisco based orchestral rock band, Battlehooch who is also releasing their new album, WINK. The show is going down at Bottom of the Hill this Saturday, November 22nd.

A special performance by local super group, Kokomo Hum featuring Sean Mabry of Maus Haus and members of Mwahaha, Batttlehooch, White Cloud, and Paint The Trees White will open the show. White Light Prism will be doing visuals as well!

This is going to be a really big show! If you’re going to finish out the year with one major local show, this is the one to attend. Congrats to both bands on their album releases!

San Francisco based garage rock band, Hungry Skinny has released a biker centric, garage rock track called, Hot Dang. This fast paced track is catchy and includes a shout worthy hook that would drag anyone to the dance floor. The band plans to premiere the music video at Amnesia this Saturday, November 22nd.
