New Track: “Time Is Right” – Pouring Silver

Posted on:

The quartet of Jo Kusy (Far-Out Fangtooth, The Whips), Travis Weissman (Haunted Homes), Nina Scotto (Fake Nudes, Queen of Jeans), and Adam Herndon (A Sunny Day in Glasgow, Pet Milk)  have combined forces to form Pouring Silver. "Time Is Right" is the band’s debut single. One slips into a melodic, daydreamy haze as the song gently drifts and sways. With a Jeff Ziegler-produced EP in the works, this is definitely just the beginning for this gang of Philly music scene vets. Pouring Silver is slated to perform on Thursday, August 15 at Beautiful World Syndicate, on a lineup that also includes Jack Name and Elison Jackson. (Photo by Alex Philippe Cohen)

New Track: “bed” – Bad Heaven Ltd.

Posted on:

"bed" is the latest single to emerge from strength, the forthcoming album from Bad Heaven Ltd., which is due out on August 2. John Galm (formerly of Snowing) shares that the song "is about being eaten alive. It’s about the dream of relief that comes from living with a chronic mental illness.” The recording hovers between a low-key, illuminated contemplation and bursts of unencumbered feedback. The dichotomy of sound between delicate moments and distorted ferocity provides a multidimensional, musical image.

Cole Berggren (Number One Lovers, The Vernes) recently posted a new single, called “Sadie”. Initially accompanied by guitar, the song begins with an isolated characterization, and then leaps into action as the backend kicks into gear. Searching for hope, when currently facing melancholy circumstances, Berggren suggests patience and perseverance are the strategies needed to push through. "You want it all, and all you gotta do is wait."
