Empires have released a new single called "We Lost Magic". The track comes from a deluxe edition of their album Garage Hymns which will be released on June 12th. The band will be heading out this summer on a headlining tour that includes a spot at on this year’s Lollapalooza line-up.
A Lull Announces Meat Mountain
A Lull has announced that their new ep will be released on June 26th via Lujo Records. The album will be called Meat Mountain, and they have released the first single from the album, "Summer Dress".
Hood Internet Mixtape Vol. 6
The Hood Internet have released their 6th collection of mashups and remixes. This collections feature bits and pieces of tracks from The Cool Kids, Only Children, Kid Sister, and so many more. It also includes tracks that include both Beastie Boys and Whitney Houston.
The Hood Internet also announced that they will be hitting the road with Chicago’s Chrissy Muderbot and Star Slinger this month for The Hood Slung Tour. However, there are no Chicago dates listed.
Chicago Underground Duo “Age of Energy”
Chicago Underground Duo have a history of talking the foundation of modern Jazz and experimenting with textures and layers. Chad Taylor and Rob Mazurek recently released their sixth album as the Chicago Underground Duo and first for the label Northern Spy. The album is called Age of Energy and the duo just released the second single from the album, "Castle in Your Heart".

Clip Art are one of the opening bands for tomorrow’s, May 8th, Hudson Branch release show, and they are using the stage to premier two new tracks. The tracks, “Death V. Decline” and “Pains of the Young", can be streamed below, but should really be heard in person.

The Giving Tree Band “Cold Cold Rain”
The Giving Tree Band has finished recording their new album Vacilador, and the first single from the new record is called "Cold Cold Rain".
The band has released a video for the track and announced that they are hitting the road next month with Joe Prudy. They also said they will have pre-release copies of the album available on the tour. The Giving Tree Band will arrive back in Chicago on June 29th at Double Door.

Tree has released a video for the track "All" which appeared on his recently released mixtape "Sunday School". The mixtape has name one of the best in hip hop in 2012 by Noz of CocaineBlunts.
Maps and Atlases “Remote & Dark Years”
Maps and Atlases have released a video for their track "Remote & Dark Years". The track comes from their latest album Beware & Be Grateful.

Radar Eyes “Summer Chills”
Radar Eyes have released a new video for their track "Summer Chills". The track comes from their recently released self-titled debut album which was released via HoZac Records.
White Mystery “Rapid Overdrive”
White Mystery seems to get more popular everyday, and all of the attention is so deserved. The band has now launch a twitter campaign to play on Conan with he comes to Chicago. The duo recently released their new ep People Power and with it the video below for the track "Rapid Overdrive".
White Mystery will be performing at Empty Bottle on May 19th as part of the massive HoZac Blackout Festival.
Whales @ Township
Whales released their self-titled debut album last year, and now are working on the follow-up album Plate Tectonics which is planned for a late 2012 release. Earlier this Spring the band released a single called March 2012, and through it furthered their adventurous rock sound.

Bobby Conn @ Empty Bottle
