This week Backstage Chicago captures and talks with the local industrial band I:Scintilla. The band has been rocking the local clubs since 2003 and tore up Abbey Pub back on June 12th for this video.

Back in April we announced that Wilco would releasing a new single called "I Might" this summer and now they have. The single officially dropped at Wilco’s own Solid Sound Fest over the weekend. You can hear "I Might" below and purchase the single here.

Hey Champ has released a new video for their track "Silver City". The track comes from their recent ep Anything At All.

Moon Furries are a mission with a solid cause behind it. The band is almost a third of the way through a 100 shows in a 100 days tour this summer. They are doing this to help support cancer research because one of the band member’s mother is currently battling cancer.

Moon Furries released their latest ep Mercury back in January and you can pay what you like for it here. Moon Furries will be performing at Obbity Fest on July 3rd along with many other great local bands.

Phillip-Michael Scales of Briar Rabbit is not only a talented musician with a tremendous voice, but he is also quite intelligent especially when it comes to how to convert a bus into a veggie oil bus. Check out his video and support him in this eco-friendly project.

The new ep from a band I’ve been following for a while is perhaps their most delevloped and danceable product to date. Wishing You Whatever’s Best is a well produced five track gem from Russel Baylin, Sarah Snow, and My My My. The ep kicks off with "Hard Kisses" and firmly puts the listener in and world late of eighties pop glory. The ep is filled with snyths, effects, and tons of dance tracks. The second track, "24 Hour Love Affair" keeps pace and delivers a great sing-a-long chorus. I love the interplay between Baylin and Snow and the feeling that I should be hanging at a mall in line for Duran Duran tickets. My favorite track on the album is the most electronic and is called "Middle Age Hardware and Youthful Indiscretions". The track is alive with rock and technology. The ep is filled with dance floor ready tracks that are perfect for this summer heat.

The ep will be released on June 28th, and the band will be performing in July 1st at Beat Kitchen.
