Smith Westerns have just released a new remix by Peaking Lights of their track "End of the Night". The band is currently on tour with Arctic Monkeys, but do not have any Chicago dates scheduled.

"I’m a ***hole" will be released on October 4th by Loose Squares, but you can stream it here right now. The six track release feature contributions from Johnny Moog, Young Live, and DJ Gant-Man, and is guaranteed to get you moving.

The latest album from Blane Fonda is called Foolish Croon and the band is celebrating the release of the album on Sept. 23rd at Subt with Carbon Tigers, Stepdad, and The Noise FM.

Last week Keith Masters unveiled an ambitious new project called Ghost City. This is his new full-length album, and it was released on 9/11 in honor of the events of that day. The album will not be sold, but rather offered in exchange for donations; all of which go to The Robin Hood Relief Fund. He has been working on the album and concept since 2005, and it is quite a shift from what you what be used to hearing from Masters.

There is a new band in town playing an experimental brand of pop music. Narrow Sparrow will be single 7" for "Joe Meek’s Dream" before the end of the year. However, you can stream the track on the band’s bandcamp page and watch the interesting video for the track below.

Young Man has released a video for their new track "Nothing". The track comes from their new album Ideas of Distance which will be released by Frenchkiss Records on Sept. 27th.

Young Man will be performing at Subt tonight, Sept. 16th. with Grouplove.

The latest video from Couch Potatoes/Living Room Songs comes Jazz Ensemble Snaarj. The band is currently working on recording a new album in Bloomington, IN, and just reached their goal to fund it through Kickstarter.
