Sofar Chicago released a new video this week with the Urbana-based group Grandkids. The band, featuring Vivian McConnell of Santah, released their debut full-length, Timeshare, earlier this year.
The Future Laureates @ Double Door
The Future Laureates have a new 7" single/digital EP, Everything at Once, being released this Friday, October 25th. The first released track called "Sleepwalking".

Best Witches @ Subt
Seems like a fitting time of year to see a band called Best Witches. The punk-pop band released their debut EP, Jail, back in August. The album is filled with raw garage or basement rock and is available digitally or on cassette.

The Southern Illinois based Elsinore released a new album, Push/Pull, via Parasol Records on Oct 15th. CHIRP Radio posted a great interview with the band last week.

There are a lot of cool events taking place in Chicago this Halloween, but after seeing The Orwells cover The Stooges classic "I Wanna Be Your Dog" their show at Subt on Oct. 31st has jumped to the top of my list.
Stepfather Gets Mohawk @ Ultra Lounge
The dirty rock band Stepfather Gets Mohawk has released a video for their track "Burn Your Blood". The track comes from their debut full-length album Come On, Super Devil which was released back in April.

Nervous Cloud “Nimbus”
Travis Lee Wiggins & Sarah Sterling (Videotape) (aka Nervous Cloud) have released their second album together. The new album is called Nimbus and feature nine outstanding new tracks. You can stream the entire album here.
Radiant Republic @ Township
A triple record release show is a rarity, but that is what is taking place this Friday, Oct. 18th at Township. That night will celebrate releases from Nanagon, Milwaukee’s Like Like The The The Death, and Radiant Republic.
Radiant Republic formed back in 2002, and they do not release a lot of material. Their new album, Three Against Four, is their first since their 2011 ep which was their first release in five years. This new album will be released on October 29th through the local label Sick Room Records.
Audiences “Get Like This”
The winner of our Best of 2012 Reader and Fan Poll, Audiences released a new single called "Get Like This" today. This is the first single from the band’s forthcoming debut full-length Home.

Pink Frost “The Difference”
Pink Frost has released a video for their track "The Difference". The track appears on their recent album Sundowning.

Oozing Wound
The local thrash trio Oozing Wound are celebrating the release of their new album Retrash at Empty Bottle on October 24th. The album is being released by Thrill Jockey and according to the label website the album is for "people who have no faith in melody and happiness".
The show on Oct 24th will also feature The Body, Running, and Toupee and should be an amazingly noisy time.
