Crown Larks

Crown Larks have released the first single from their forthcoming album Blood Dancer. The single is filled with saxophone and thrashing guitars and is called "Blood Mirage".

The album will be released on April 7th and the band will be performing a free show at Empty Bottle on April 6th.

Pet Symmetry

Pet Symmetry formed back in 2012 as a supergroup of sorts with members from Dowsing, Kittyhawk, Mountains for Clouds, and Into It. Over It. The trio of Erik Czaja, Evan Weiss, Marcus Nuccio will be releasing their debut album, Pet Hounds, on May 19th via Asain Man Records. The first single is called "Give Thanks (Get Lost)".

Mike Maimone @ High Hat Club

Mike Maimone of Mutts is two events into a year long residency at High Hat Club. Mike will be performing at High Hat (1920 W Irving Park Rd) the first Thursday of the each month in 2015. Throughout the residency he will be joined by local friends and at his next show his guest will be JC Brooks and Yoo Soo Kim.

Circuit des Yeux

Thrill Jockey announced this week that they had signed the local musician Haley Fohr who is better known as Circuit des Yeux. The label will be releasing her next album, In Plain Speech, on May 19th.

Haley has deep, lush, and haunting voice that blends seamlessly with looping electronic canvases she creates. Below is a live edition of her older track "Nova 88".
