The Giving Tree Band are releasing a new live album, Like A Freight Train, on April 7th (preorder). They recently released a video of a live performance of "These Days" by Jackson Browne.

The band is constantly on tour and down at SXSW this week. You can catch them next at City Winery on May 2nd with Hot Buttered Rum.

Pet Symmetry have releases a new single, "Class Action Force (Useless Tools)" from their forthcoming album, Pet Hounds. The album will be released on May 19th via Asian Man Records and can be preorder here.

Split Single is the solo project from Jason Narducy (Bob Mould Band, Superchunk, Verbow) and he will be releasing a Live EP April 28th via Inside Outside Record. The EP includes two new track including "Glori" below.

You can catch Split Single at House Cafe (DeKalb) with Cymbals Eat Guitars on March 31st and at Schubas on May 1st.

Filligar are preparing to release their new album, Keepsakes of the Interior, via their own label Decade Records on April 21st. Over the last few weeks the back has released a new single, "Motor Shine", and a lyrics video the new track "Truth & Anger".

The Curls are back and have released a catchy Spring inducing single called "All The World". The track comes from their forthcoming EP due out in May.

Electronic music producer Eli Harris (aka Ekoli) released his first EP OverFLOW earlier this month. The beats are downtempo and elements of jazz and funk. Below is my favorite track "Teen Spirit". You find the entire EP here.

Geronimo! released a new track this week called "They Put a Hook Inside of Me" and announced that they will be releasing a new and final EP, Buzz Yr Girlfriend: Vol. 4 – Why Did You Leave Me? , via Exploding in Sound Records on March 31st.

The announced back in the fall that they would be breaking up, and they will perform their farewell show on March 28th at Beat Kitchen.

Indie Rock trio Stock Footage released their second EP, Nerves and Lead, last week. The four track collection features pounding nostalgic indie rock melodies.

Collages (aka Jesse Bustamante) released his latest project the fantastic Windy City Mirage one year ago. This album was filled lo-fi dream pop. Bustamante is currently working his follow-up EP which should be released this spring.

Miss Chiff (aka Marilyn Reles) has released her latest mixtape, Bloom Later: The Mischievous Memoirs. The mixtape features a guest appearance by Wellium, and lyrics covering broken relationships and perfectionism.

Raiders of the Lost Art will release their third LP, White Flag, on March 17th. The project is creatively constructed and combines an array of sounds and styles. The latest single is called "Electrified". RoftLA is currently working on their fourth album, Victory Saloon, coming in November.
