Michael Jaroski has return with a new LP called Quiet Town. This is the follow-up to his 2013 debut, Even The Monkeys. Jaroski makes edgy folk music with a ton of heart.

Frances Luke Accord
Frances Luke Accord create charming acoustic folk-pop laced with addictive harmonies. They recently released the second single, "Something Moving", from their debut full-length, Fluke, which is due out on May 20th.

Krewella
Krewella (Jahan Yousaf and Yasmine Yousaf) has released a new single called "Broken Records". This is the latest single from the duos new EP, Ammunition, which is due out May 20th. The first single from the EP, "Beggars", now has a video below.
Krewella is launching a tour this fall called "Sweatbox" and will be performing at Lincoln Hall on October 8th.
Courtney @ Prom Night
Courtney has has put together a "Prom Night" event which will take place on May 20th at Reed’s Local (3017 W. Belmont). The line-up will include Oshwa, Glamour Hotline, and of course Courtney themselves. You can find all of the details here.

Hood Smoke @ The Hideout
Hood Smoke is celebrating the release of their album, Rough Around the Hedges, on May 20th at The Hideout. The album was released by Ears & Eyes Records on March 25th. The album features the track "Jade Lights" which we hosted the video premiere of back in October. The album also includes their latest single, "Alluring Bedlamite", and the video for that track is below.
Beauty School
Beauty School released a new single, "Pushover" b/w "Teenage Dominoes", this week. Both tracks are lo-fi, garage-pop gems centered around strong female vocals and harmonies.
Twin Peaks “Holding Roses”
Twin Peaks have released a third single, "Holding Roses", from their forthcoming album, Down In Heaven. The album will be released on May 13th via Grand Jury & Communion.
Twin Peaks are performing a sold out release show at Lincoln Hall on May 13th with The Funs and White Reaper.
The Diving Bell @ Workshop
The Diving Bell (lead by husband-and-wife duo Clare and Steve Hendershot) will be performing their hybrid album/radio play "South and South: The Curious Tragedy of the Whiskey Jane Expedition, 1894" on May 22nd at Workshop Chicago (935 W. Chestnut, #530). South and South is about a 19th-century explorer who searches for Atlantis in the Great Lakes. Below is a video for "South and South 4: In the Forest / Belly of the Beast You Love".
The Bribes
The Bribes have released a new EP, Dust Tapes, based on a series of dreams that singer/songwriter Philip Toscano was having in which he died. It may seem like a somber project, but the spirit and sound the ep is more upbeat and catchy then you might imagine.
