The assemblage of Mike McGinnis, Jon DeHart, and Dan Smith, otherwise known as Fight Amp, announced a few months back that they are going on an indefinite hiatus. So tonight’s show at Kung Fu Necktie may represent the trio’s final Philly performance. One thing is certain; the band will be bringing their focused brand of heaviness – the type that oozes with deep, churning, rhythmic discontent. That purposeful, pulsating, noisy instrumentation quakes, teaming with an ominous vocal snarl that brews a strong batch of sludge-rock. The unfiltered, raucous rattling of post-hardcore quartet Legendary Divorce ushers in an air of intensity to open the proceedings.
