Lofted among the celestial bodies of introspection, the dreampop of Suburban Living cultivates a peaceful albeit reflective air. Tonight, swim among the smooth, steadily-rising waves of melodic guitars and synth as the band celebrates their latest album Almost Paradise (available via 6131 Records). While the musical ride maintains a cruising, backend-anchored movement, scorching layers of shoegazing persist below the surface. Merging 60’s garage-pop with a psych spin, the quartet of Louie Louie inject a gritty dose of urgency into their femme fatale aesthetic. Leading off the proceedings at Everybody Hits, the creative collaboration between Attia Taylor & Corey Duncan (Oh Pears), a.k.a. Strange Parts, has recently released a new EP Rainier Bedstuy Home Recording.
