Bushwick’s rising dreampoppers Sparxx are debuting today on our channels the video for the heavenly track “Mod.” Shot & Edited by Danny Krug, Co-Directed by Danny and Heather Sparx, with styling by Nadia Tulin, the video was bravely filmed on location in Bushwick (ugliest/hippest neighborhood in the world?), with concert footage from local venue, The Lab. Band sonic guru Justin Matthews and Heather also remixed the track from the original version, giving it additional punch and sheen, matching it more closely to the video. The story of “Mod” is told through Heather’s passionate vocals, Justin’s synth and guitar textures, and a thoroughly rockin’ beat. Following a timeless script, hot boy hits on girl – but Heather asks if you could simply slow down for a moment and “take a break with me”. A breath was taken, now what?
