Former lo-fi duo turned bombastic post-punk four-piece Bleeding Rainbow is returning home tonight, and will be celebrating the release of their latest LP Interrupt (Kanine), which was produced by Fancy Time Studio’s Kyle "Slick" Johnson. The band has had kind of a rough time on the road with tourmates Hunters needing to drop off because frontwoman Izzy Almedia suffered a concussion. But like true professionals, the show must go on for Bleeding Rainbow, who was recently called "America’s best-kept secret, the ultimate cult band" by Dave Grohl. Yeah, that’s right – Dave "motherfuckin’ Nirvana/Foo Fighters" Grohl! Yes, yes – I realize that nothing I write now can be cooler than that so I’ll just let you know that Roomrunner, Multicult and Loose Tooth (who was added to replace Hunters) will also be on the bill for tonight’s celebration.
