Bad Side Opening for NOBUNNY at Underground Arts Feb. 7

Sometimes bands ease their way in gradually building in energy before reaching a high point, Bad Side is not one of those bands. Rather than climbing the stairs and celebrating at the top, the group unloads a full-scale attack with an immediate hardcore edge. A jarring stampede approach characterizes the instrumentation that embraces controlled outbursts. While the momentum driven avalanche of sound has raw moments, the drums and bass smashing their way through, creating an open space for the vocals and guitar to do work, the group harnesses its collective ferocity finding a path to follow. Local rockers The Whips will be unveiling their new guitarist Kyle Seely. With grimy guitar riffs, a psychedelic twist and a forward thrust, Wisconsin duo The Hussy fills out a bill that will open for the always unpredictable NOBUNNY at Underground Arts tonight.
